I have been shooting on Manual mode now for a few months. I am still practicing and trying to get a handle on how to properly adjust the settings. Looking forward to learning more in my photography class in May. 🙂 For now, I am sharing my first attempts at shooting photos using the RAW setting on Manual Mode and un-edited. Editing photos is another skill I need to learn and conquer. One step at a time.
I don’t like the shadows in this one, but I like that I was able to get the black coat to look black and shiny. That is improvement from photos I have taken in the past, so I am progressing in my photography skills, which makes me very happy.
Ziva is healing nicely after only a week she is back to her normal bouncy self today. Such a relief! We have another three weeks of recovery to go, but so far, so good!!
Great job! I wouldn’t know what to do without editing. It helps with the shadows and lighting a lot. Cueball is a great model.
Ziva, don’t get bouncy too quickly or your human slaves won’t want to wait on you paw and foot! But I am glad you feel better!
Good photos, slaves!
RAW + Manual is hardcore. Glad Ziva is recovering so well.
Your pictures are looking great! I’m glad Ziva is still getting better!
Black dogs (and white for that matter) are the hardest to photograph so you have your work cut out for you 🙂 So glad you are learning so much, it’s fun! I agree with one step at a time, but if you aren’t editing, I really don’t think you’re going to get much benefit out of shooting in RAW. I shot in both raw and jpeg for a couple months until I was comfortable, but now I only shoot in raw…I also process all of my images using Lightroom – it is such a powerful tool! PS – I’m very behind in reading blogs 😉
Thanks Angela! I am hoping to learn how to edit photos this year. I keep shooting in RAW so I have them in that form to edit later. :). I am taking my second photography class now. It is all about lighting and external flashes.
